May 10, the Feast of the Ascension

This feast celebrates what happens next after the resurrection of Jesus. Once he left the tomb, Jesus appeared to his disciples. He then ascends to Heaven to sit at the right hand of God. Jesus is prophesied to return in a second coming.

The Ascension took place 40 days after the resurrection so the Feast of the Ascension takes place 40 days after Easter.
